Kim Jinhwan (Korean: 김진환), better known as Jinhwan (진환) or JAY (제이), was born on February 7, 1994. He is a South Korean singer and musical theater actor. He is the leader, main vocalist and lead dancer of the South Korean boy group IKON.
He made his solo debut on June 21, 2023 with the digital single "Paradise" and then On July 18, he released his first 6-song LP "BLUE MOON".
Following the departure of B.I on June 12 , 2019, Jay was appointed as iKON's new group leader. This position was confirmed as a "leader role" in his profile for his management agency in Japan, JX Entertainment.

Military Service[]
On July 7, 2023, Jinhwan personally announced through his Instagram that he would be enlisting in the military on July 20. He would serve as a social service worker. This resulted in Jinhwan having to end up canceling his solo Japanese tour which was scheduled to take place in Osaka and Yokohama between July 24–28, 2023. He will be discharged on April 19, 2025.
